This week (7-13th August 2023)

It’s Jack the Station Cat Day on Sunday

Jack the Station Cat returns to Sittingbourne’s Steam Railway on Sunday (13th).

Roger Dilley, one of the book series illustrators, will be reading stories from the various Jack the Station Cat books, one of which even features Sittingbourne’s Steam Railway.

For this event, Sittingbourne Viaduct station becomes Tail’s End and Kemsley Down is Much Purring in reference to locations mentioned in the books.

The series is aimed at younger children with books costing only £2.95 each – there’s a free CD (whilst stocks last) if you buy two or more books.

You will be able to have photo taken with Jack the Station Cat and enjoy the mouse hunt at Much Purring.

The orange timetable and usual fares apply.
