This week (29th April – 6th May 2024)
It’s a bank holiday weekend!
Trains will be running on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, departing Sittingbourne Viaduct station at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm. Trains return at 12.05pm, 1.35pm, 2.35pm, 3.35pm & 4.45pm – note there is a long wait at Kemsley Down between the 12.05pm departure and the 1.35pm train.
Jack the Station Cat Day
A massive thank you to everyone who braved the weather last Sunday for our Jack the Station Cat Day and to our volunteers including Roger Dilley who read and signed them. There was also a mouse hunt and crafting sessions.
The Railway launched of the latest book – ‘Jack The Station Cat Sorts it Out’. This series of books for children aged 5-8 years are very reasonably priced at £2.95 each, available from our Railway Shop, and we have limited numbers of copies of the earlier books in the series.
For this event we renamed Sittingbourne Viaduct as ‘Tails End’ and Kemsley Down becomes ‘Much Purring’ as these station feature in the books – our railway has also appeared in past books.
