This week (22nd-28th April 2024)
It’s Jack the Station Cat Day on Sunday
Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm, returning at 1.35pm, 2.35pm, 3.35pm & 4.45pm.
Jack the Station Cat returns to the Railway on Sunday for the launch of the latest book – ‘Jack The Station Cat Sorts it Out’. This series of books for children aged 5-8 years are very reasonably priced at £2.95 each, available from our Railway Shop, and we have limited numbers of copies of the earlier books in the series.
One of the books illustrators, Roger Dilley, will be on hand to read the books, talk about and even sign them!
For this event we rename Sittingbourne Viaduct as ‘Tails End’ and Kemsley Down becomes ‘Much Purring’ as these station feature in the books – our railway has also appeared in past books.
There will also be a mouse hunt at Kemsley Down and other children’s activities so it may be better to plan for a two hour stay and go back on a later train.
