Trains are running on Sunday for the Viaduct Reopening Day
Trains will be running again from Sunday following three weeks of maintenance works to Milton Regis Viaduct. Trains will be hauled by steam locomotive ‘Premier’ over the viaduct and there are also two guided tours to look at the underside of the viaduct at 11am and 1pm, these will also give you the opportunity to walk the King Charles III England Coast Path alongside Milton Creek to Kemsley Down.
Timetable
- Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm
- Trains depart Kemsley Down at 12.35pm, 1.35pm, 2.35pm, 3.35pm & 4.45pm
- Walking tours under the Viaduct depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station at 11am and 1pm and take around 45 minutes.
2026 Return Fares
- £10 for adults
- £5 for children (3-15)
- Infants aged under 3 travel free
- £9 for senior citizens
- £27 for families (2 adults and 4 children)

Twenty tickets per train are available for advanced booking through TicketSource (book below) but there will still be plenty of tickets available for turn-up-and-go passengers.

All trains will be hauled by steam locomotive ‘Premier‘. The journey takes 15 minutes each way, we recommend allowing at least two hours for your visit. Special fares and a special timetable apply for the Steam & Beer Music Festival – we also hope to have steam locomotive ‘Melior’ running for this event too.
* due to the gap in the timetable this train must be booked in advance – no tickets will be sold on the day for this particular train. There is no need to book on the other trains. Passengers on this train cannot return to Sittingbourne Viaduct until 12.35pm.
