Railway 200 Gala Weekend

The Railway will be holding its Railway 200 Gala Weekend on Saturday 27 & 28th September. There will be regular trains pulled by steam and diesel locomotives.

‘Rhoda the Roller’ will be in steam and there will be some miniature steam rollers and traction engines on display, you’ll be able to meet Dan, our Writer In Residence, and find out more about Ideas Test.

Timetable

The same timetable will be used on both days.

Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station at: 11am, 11.15am, 11.55am, 12.40pm, 1.25pm, 2.05pm, 2.50pm, 3.35pm, 4.15pm & 5pm.

Trains depart Kemsley Down station at: 11.30am, 12.15pm, 12.55pm, 1.40pm, 2.25pm, 3.05pm, 3.50pm, 4.35pm, 5.15pm & 5.55pm.

Trains will be hauled by: steam locomotive ‘Premier’ or diesel locomotives ‘Victor’ and ‘Barton Hall’.

Trains will be first come, first served whether using online or pay-on-the-day tickets. To buy online tickets, click on the image below by 5pm the day before travel.

Please arrive at Sittingbourne Viaduct station 10-15 minutes earlier to buy or collect your tickets. We expect the first three trains to be very busy.

2025 Fares

  • £9 return for adults or £13 for a rover ticket
  • £4.50 return for children (3-15) or £8.50 for a rover ticket
  • Infants aged under 3 travel free
  • £8 return for senior citizens or £12 for a rover ticket
  • £24 for families (2 adults and 4 children)
  • £2 for adult SKLR members
  • £1 for child SKLR family members.
