Quiet Trains

For Swale Spectrum and Medway Puzzles members, we will be operating a special ‘quiet’ train on Sundays 19th June and 17th July.

The train departs Sittingbourne Viaduct station at 11.30am, hauled by one of our diesel locomotives (likely to be Victor). After the 15 journey to Kemsley Down, there will be plenty of time to relax before the train returns at 12.35pm. You don’t have to go back on that train, they are running hourly until 3.35pm then at 4.45pm but the general public will also be on those trains.

The train back to Sittingbourne Viaduct should be hauled by a steam locomotive – either Premier or Melior.

We hope to have children toys available to play with at Kemsley Down, outside the Footplate Café. The Café will be open selling a range of hot & cold drinks, snacks and ice creams. Feel free to bring a picnic if you are staying longer.

Please note: for safety reasons our staff must blow whistles or sound horns so if sudden loud noise are an issue please consider bringing ear protection.

The general public will be arriving on 1pm train from Sittingbourne Viaduct station.
