Footplate Experience Courses

Okay, it’s a bit short notice, but we have two Footplate Experience Courses available on Saturday 20th September.

You will have one-on-one tuition, learning about firing and driving a steam locomotive and then putting that into practice by driving ‘Premier’ and train to Sittingbourne Viaduct station to collect your friends and family and drive them to Kemsley Down for a celebratory buffet lunch.

The course costs £300 for the participant and one guest. Additional guests are £7.50 each which includes return trip and a buffet lunch.

We will be relaunching our Footplate Experience Courses in 2026 and it is likely that the course and fares will be dearer.
