The Spa Valley Railway runs for 3½ miles through the picturesque Kentish Weald countryside between the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells and the mainline junction at Eridge, stopping off in between at High Rocks and Groombridge.

Great Whipsnade Railway
This line runs within the Whipsnade Wild Animal Park. The steam engines ‘Superior’,  ‘Excelsior’ and ‘Chevalier’ that work on this line, together with much of the rolling stock, came from the ‘Bowater’ railway on closure in 1969.

Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway
A picturesque line in mid Wales. ‘Monarch’ another ex ‘Bowater’ Loco is located here and has undergone a cosmetic restoration.

Milton Creek Memories
This is an exciting community oral history project from Swale CVS and Swale Borough Council, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Unique reflections on life and work in Milton Creek’s former industries are being captured and shared by residents of Sittingbourne and beyond.

Sittingbourne Heritage Museum
This museum in Sittingbourne High Street celebrates the heritage of Sittingbourne & surrounding area. Displays include artefacts found at the dig at Iwade prior to building the new housing estates and a World War II front room.

Sheerness Heritage Centre
This Centre, in Rose Street, is housed in a small wooden cottage which was originally built for dockyard workers in Sheerness and contains information about over 200 years of history of Sheerness and the Isle of Sheppey.

Blue Town Heritage Centre
This building, which was a musical hall until 1917, has been developed as a heritage and cultural hub for the people of Sheppey. Also includes a 60 seat Cinema.

Milton Creek Country Park
Milton Creek Country Park is Sittingbourne’s newest green space, it is a jewel, a tranquil oasis for wildlife, hidden from the world by a screen of industrial and residential development that hems it on three sides.

Faversham Society
The Faversham Society is acknowledged as one of the first and finest town societies of its kind in the country. They are wide in scope and deep in expertise and their members care about Faversham and its surrounding villages in many different ways. They run the Fleur de Lis Heritage centre which includes a museum, art gallery, bookshop and tourist information centre.

PS Medway Queen
The paddle steamer Medway Queen is in desperate need of help to protect her for future generations. A Kent based paddler, she served many towns and ports around the county and made a record seven trips during the Dunkirk evacuations, saving the life of over 7,000 British troops. She has recently returned to Medway after the building of a new hull in Bristol.
