Trains are running on Sunday (1-4pm from Sittingbourne Viaduct)

This week’s locomotive is Melior.

Our return fares are:

  • Adult – £7.50
  • Senior Citizen – £6.50
  • Child (aged 3-15) – £3.50
  • Infants (aged under 3) – free
  • Family (2A + 4C) – £21
  • SKLR Members – free
  • other fares are available.

We will also have our away sales stand at Birchington Model Railway Exhibition on Saturday and information stand at The Holiday & Leisure Show on Sunday (details below) where we will be giving out goody bags (whilst stocks last). 

This month at Sittingbourne’s Steam Railway:

  • Saturday 9th – Birchington Model Railway Exhibition – The Centre, Alpha Road, Birchington, CT7 9EG. Admission £3 for adults, children free (under 16 and accompanied)
  • Sunday 10th – Green timetable – Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 1-4pm
  • Sunday 10th – The Holiday & Leisure Show – look out for the SKLR Stand at this tourism event – 9.30am-3.30pm at The Village Hotel, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 3AQ, admission free – register online
  • Friday 15th – Orange Timetable – Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct at 11.30am, 12.30pm then hourly 2-4pm – note: there is no 1pm train.
  • Saturday 16th – Green timetable – Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 1-4pm
  • Sunday 17th – Orange Timetable – Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct at 11.30am, 12.30pm then hourly 2-4pm – note: there is no 1pm train.
  • Monday 18th – Orange Timetable – Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct at 11.30am, 12.30pm then hourly 2-4pm – note: there is no 1pm train.
  • Sunday 24th – Green timetable – Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 1-4pm

Next month (May):

  • Sunday 1st – Orange Timetable – Trains depart Sittingbourne Viaduct at 11.30am, 12.30pm then hourly 2-4pm – note: there is no 1pm train.

  • Sunday 22nd – Three Brazils Weekend – special timetable applies – Premier, Leader & Melior will be operating throughout the day – Leader’s last day in service
