What a busy week this will be! On Friday, 1st July, steam locomotive Leader will be running to Sittingbourne Viaduct station at 7am to blow its whistle at 7.30am to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the Battle of the Somme, this coincides with a multi-denominational service at the War Memorial in Central Avenue, Sittingbourne. On Saturday and Sunday it is our annual Steam & Beer festival, special fares and timetables apply to this event.

  • 2nd – Saturday – Steam & Beer – trains from 11am until late – live music midday until 10pm, barbecue from midday
  • 3rd – Sunday – Steam & Beer Family Day – trains 11am until 5pm – our Captain Jack Sparrow lookalike will be entertaining everyone and children dressed as pirates to join his scary crew will get a special gift (whilst stocks last) plus there will be a treasure hunt and crafts
  • 10th – Sunday – trains 1-4pm
  • 16th – Saturday – Art in the Park
  • 17th – Sunday – trains 1-4pm
  • 24th – Sunday – trains 1-4pm
  • 27th – Wednesday – trains 1-4pm
  • 31st – Sunday – trains 11am-4pm

Return fares (other fares are available such as single and rover) – special fares apply for Steam & Beer and Art in the Park:
