This week (20-26th February)

The Railway is closed until Good Friday, 14th April, however that does not mean that nothing’s happening!

This weekend is a Work Weekend – everyone’s welcome to come along and help out at the Railway. A Works Train will depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station at 10am and return at 4pm. Lunch, tea & coffee will be provided.

Work continues on projects throughout the year so the Work Weekends are not the only way to help out – our track gang, for example, work every Sunday and Wednesday so there’s often someone working on the Railway – to offer assistance on a non-Work Weekend day, please email info@sklr.net

The Away Sales Team are attending Tenterden Model Railway Exhibition this weekend – this will be your first opportunity to pick up a paper copy of our new timetable leaflet, hot off the press! You can now download our timetable leaflet here – SKLR Timetable 2017.

Don’t forget that we are currently raising money to buy stays for steam locomotive ‘Premier’ and our first podcast of the new series – Sittingbourne’s Steam Railway Podcast is available here, at iTunes or You Tube. The best way to listen to it is through the Sittingbourne’s Steam Railway Podcast App which is available from your app store – you will receive bonus features too; such as monthly calendar pages and videos.
