This week (12-18th January)

This weekend is a busy one for our volunteers:

  • Work Weekend – help is needed to carry out maintenance from track and trains to buildings and gardens, everyone is welcome to come along to help out, we’re meeting at Sittingbourne Viaduct station at 9.50am for a 10am start/Works Train. If you’re working at Kemsley Down, this is the only way to get there and the train returns at about 4pm for the 15 minute journey back so tea/coffee and lunch will be provided. Whatever the work, tools and training will be provided. If you have a trade, please email info@sklr.net to offer your services so we can identify some work we need a skills person to carry out
  • Canterbury Model Railway Exhibition – the Away Sales Team will be selling calendars, postcards, books, toys and gifts as well as handing out flyers detailing the 2015 Season
  • SOS Film Night – the first of this year’s movies is The Great St Trinian’s Train Robbery which will be shown at Screen @ The Avenue, Avenue Theatre, Central Avenue, Sittingbourne, on Saturday evening – doors open at 6.30pm with the film starting at 7pm, the bar will be open before, during and after the film, tickets cost £5 each and profits will be donated to the Railway’s SOS Campaign
The 2015 Season starts on Good Friday, 3rd April, for more details of the season click here.
