This week (27th April – 4th May)

It’s a bank holiday weekend, yay! Enjoy your extended weekend with a trip to the Railway to see Jack the Station Cat, star of the children’s books, and Edward Bear, the Railway’s own mascot. For this event our stations are renamed to those featured in th books – Sittingbourne Viaduct becomes Tail’s End and Kemsley Down becomes Much Purring. Many of the books and other Jack the Station Cat souvenirs will be available from the Railway Shop.

On Sunday and Monday, trains will depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly, on the hour, 11am – 4pm. A round trip can take as little as an hour but that is a whirlwind visit and there’s a mouse hunt at Much Purring which requires a little longer to complete, the return trains are hourly from 11.35am until 3.35pm and 4.45pm and the journey takes about 15 minutes. Why not stay longer to enjoy our Footplate Café, shop, museum, wildlife gardens, picnic area etc. too?

Fares are: £6 for adults, £3 for children (aged 3-13), £4 for concessions and £17 for families (2 adults and up to 4 children). Special fares apply for Steam & Beer in July. Other fares are available.
