This week (18-24th March)

This weekend is the last winter Work Weekend – a Works Train will depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station at 10am, returning at about 4pm both days. That’s it – next week we reopen to the public with trains running on Sunday 31st March.

Our Away Sales Team will be promoting the Railway at Sunday’s Holiday & Leisure Show. Previously, this had been held at Dover Cruise Terminal 2, but this year it’s at Kent Showground, Detling which is between Sittingbourne and Maidstone on the A249.

Due to the really late Easter this year, we are reopening on Mothering Sunday, with trains departing Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 11am until 4pm. Whilst stocks last, we will have free plant plugs for potting and pot sleeves for decorating so you can give Mum a lovely potted plant.

This month (March):

  • Saturday 23rd – Work Weekend
  • Sunday 24th – Work Weekend
  • Sunday 24th – Holiday & Leisure Show, Kent Showground, Detling
  • Sunday 31st – Mothering Sunday – trains will depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 11am-4pm, at Kemsley Down you will be able to plant a plant to take home with you, perhaps you could give it to your mum!

Next month:

  • Sunday 7th – ordinary timetable – trains will depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 1-4pm
  • Sunday 14th – ordinary timetable – trains will depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 1-4pm
  • Friday 19th – Good Friday – we start Four Days of Steam with trains departing Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 11am-4pm, we will be repeating our traditional Good Friday Flowers so you can take a plant home with you
  • Saturday 20th – Easter Saturday – trains departing Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 11am-4pm
  • Sunday 21st – Easter Sunday – trains will depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 11am-4pm, at Kemsley Down there will be an Easter Egg Hunt
  • Monday 22nd – Easter Monday – trains will depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 11am-4pm
  • Sunday 28th – ordinary timetable – trains will depart Sittingbourne Viaduct station hourly 1-4pm
