Childrens Parties

A party at Kemsley Down on the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway is something your children and their friends will vividly remember. A steam train ride; a party and so much more….. how much depends on you. We will ensure the venue is decorated for the party. Just tell us what you would like!

Parties are normally held in the Footplate Cafe at Kemsley Down, but subject to weather conditions may be held outside. The maximum number of children that we can cater for in the cafe is 20 on a normal operating day. A deposit of the minimum charge is required at time of booking and is non-returnable unless cancelled more than 14 days prior to the party.

Party Tariff

The Traditional Each child in the party will get a selection of sandwiches (special fillings can be arranged to your requirements), crisps and as much orange or blackcurrant squash as they can drink	£3.50 per child	£45.00

Additional Party Items		Cost
Bouncy Castle Weather permitting, use at organisers own risk and subject to adult supervision at all times	On normal operating days the bouncy castle will be available but shared with fare paying child passengers	Free
	On special steaming days	Donation of £25 to Railway funds
Party Bags	Party Bags can be the making of your party; each bag can contain a mix of sweets and souvenirs from the railway. Each of your guests will have something to take away as a memento of the event. Please ask for details.	From £2.00 per child
Birthday Cakes	You are more than welcome to bring your own Birthday Cake with you. We can provide plates etc. on request.

Booking your party

Booking for normal operating days should be made at least One Month in advance.
For special steaming days Two Months notice is required with payment of a minimum train hire charge Catering charges must be paid for in advance. Train fares can be paid for on the day.

If you are uncertain of your numbers please pay the minimum charge for the type of party you require to secure your booking and make the final settlement on the day .
